Inspectors often ask me about the illustrations I use in my reports and where they come from. Well I make them and I am now offering them to other inspectors.
Over the years I have found most readily available illustrations either dated, or just plain wrong. They are often too full of information not necessary to the use of the illustration.
With these illustrations, I have attempted to keep labeling to a minimum and even provide the same images with no labeling so the inspector can label as desired.
Keep in mind these illustrations are pretty consistent with code requirements in my area and may be different in your area. Some amount of adjustment may be necessary.
Many illustrations already on the market are more teaching tools for the inspector to learn from, as opposed to things to help the inspector teach clients with. In this light, there will not be thousands of illustrations to choose from.
I hope you find them useful and I appreciate any feedback you can give to improve them or add to them. Any mistakes found are also appreciated so I can make corrections as necessary.
